The WC Gordon Classic

It’s a Classic Weekend featuring the 31st Annual Farish Street Heritage Festival and the
W.C. Gordon Football Classic between the Jackson State University Tigers and the Tigers of Grambling State University at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Jackson. The 2008 meeting of the two Tigers was a rematch of the 2007 Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship game. However, the results would not be the same as a costly interception with 44 seconds remaining in the game sealed JSU's fate. Grambling defeated JSU 14-5. While Grambling, the 2008 SWAC champions, will be looking to have a repeat upset, Jackson State will be looking to redeem its’ self. This game has all the ingredients to be the one of the best in the history of the WC Gordon Classic.
